We want you outdoors, exploring, and supporting.
What is an adventure race?
An adventure race is a test of your outdoor skills. 5 challenges in total, including: Axe throwing, hiking, mountain biking, paddling, and a fire building challenge.
This is a competition to prove you have the skills and endurance to adventure better than others or participate casually and enjoy your time with us. The folks that regularly visit Whiterock Conservancy know the recreational opportunities are abundant. We don't show up with a bike for a day. We Bring all the gear and stay for the weekend. Join us for a weekend, fall in love, and visit us often.
White Bison Adventure Race is your opportunity to experience Whiterock Conservancy a 5,500 acre land reserve open to and supported by the public. This pristine section of the Middle Raccoon river valley is located near Coon Rapids, Iowa and includes: the river, ponds, woodland, prairie, pastures, and sustainable farmland. Explore the land, travel the trails, paddle the river and show off your primitive skills.
This challenge is for anyone that would like to participate. Some people will intend to win, others may participate to at their pleasure. We have 2-5 person team relay, 2 person tandem, or solo options. You may not personally excel in all 5 categories but we encourage you to bring a friend and participate as a team. We hope you take this opportunity to get out of the house this September, bring a friend and experience Whiterock's fantastic scenery along the way.
